Hi, just now i lost my bb torch 9800 and wanted to track it using bb protect website but it says it cant locate my device when it’s turned off or disconnected from wireless network. Is there any other way to track it or shall i wait until it will be connected to wireless network? I’m sure the person who found my device has removed my sim card from it so it won’t be able to be tracked. Please help, i have very important files on it.
bb protect unable to locate devices that is turned off or had a poor/bad gps signal. it’s better to report it to police.

you can go to blackberry service centre to solve this problem. doing troubleshooting by yourself might cause data loss in your blackberry.

I can’t confirm tracking will work in when your phone was locked. but it might work since blackberry protect depend on GPS. please contact blackberry service centre for further information about this.

Did the protect stuff in my last blackberry and backed everything up including my contact but getting a new phone and trying to get them back, all I get is just ma text messages and my memos. How do I get my contacts back?
