Windows 8 Consumer Preview release available to download at preview.windows.com. Windows 8 Consumer Preview available in English, French, German, Japanese, and simplified Chinese languages. Windows 8 Consumer Preview announced at Barcelona during Mobile World Congress event held.
You can install it directly to your PC or just install it in virtualization environment such as vmware for test drive purposes. Windows 8 Consumer Preview able to upgrade current installed Windows versions – don’t worry your files will be preserved by default.
System Requirements
Windows 8 requires at least a working machine with 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of hard disk space and 1 GHz processor. If you have a plan to install Windows 8 64-bit edition, you need at least 2 GB of RAM.
