Trackdown Stolen BlackBerry Using BlackBerry Protect

Loss of the important data is a nightmare for everyone. Imagine if your Blackberry devices was stolen by someone and you have important data stored on it. Do not panic! With the BlackBerry Protect,  stolen BlackBerry can be tracked down.

Research in Motion (RIM) as the manufacturer of BlackBerry provides an alternative to trackdown the location of stolen BlackBerry devices using an application named BlackBerry Protect.

BlackBerry Protect is a free application developed by Research in Motion. Its offers many security features such as backup, lock devices, trackdown stolen BlackBerry phones, wipe phone and shipping notifications.

Go to ” Find Device” option, then “View Current Location”. You will able to track the current location of your stolen BlackBerry using provided map.

  5. hi. i have bb protect for this purpose. my phone was stolen in JHB yesterday. the phone is now off so when i search ob bb protect it cant be located. if i block it, report to police etc, and it switches on again in future, (after being sold to some loser),
    will i be able to track it still?
    also , through the backups done on the net through bb protect,

  6. my blackberry 9860 torch was stolen 2 months ago. my wife had installed bb protect using her sim and details. On the bb protect site the pic of phone including bbm pin and my wifes phone number are there, but i cant seem to track phone as it says unable to locate phone due to various reasons.I am able to view data.what could this mean? The funny thing is my wifes phone is also located off the same profile and her phone is able to be tracked.The other day i replaced her sim with mine and when i tried to track her phone it was located in another area. could this be my stolen phone? pleeez help?
