Facebook Support High Resolution Photos

Facebook officially confirmed that they are supporting high resolution photos (upload, view, or download) to enrich Facebook users experiences.

Competition of the online social sites is getting tougher by the presence of new online social networking such as Google+ and Pinterest.

Well, it seemed to confirm the presence of services that Facebook did not want to lose to other who had already been presenting high resolution photo display and full-screen viewer.

Facebook users will gain new online experiences by sharing high resolution photos and view them directly from browsers. This is possible because Facebook has improved they servers to produce high quality photos at maximum resolution.

Uploaded images can also be enjoyed in full screen. To view photos in full-screen mode on Facebook, follow this steps :

  1. Click any photo that you want to view on high resolution to open photo theater.
  2. Now, hover your cursor to photo, then click the arrow at the top right corner of the photo. That’s it!

Facebook said, not all browsers support this feature, because it will only work on the latest version of Firefox or Chrome. Currently Facebook support to view photos up to 2048 x 2048 pixels resolution.
